The Innovative Features Created by Stick Enterprises

Railboard® Integrated Frets & One-piece Through-neck Beam

The Railboard’s patented frets and beam are machined out of a single piece of aluminum and then hard anodized for a durable and precise playing surface.

Stick Rails® Precision Tapping Frets

These patented stainless steel frets create a precise low-action playing surface for all hardwood and bamboo instruments, with a clear sound and excellent tactile feedback. They can stand up to many years of tapping.

Custom Pickups

The Stick’s full-range sound demands more than standard guitar and bass pickups can deliver. Innovative stereo pickup modules feature active EMG, passive Villex and our original “Stickup.”

Divided 4-way Truss Rod

Keeping your instrument straight is the key to low-action and effortless playing. Our patented rear exposed truss rods make routine adjustments easy, with separate truss sections for lower and upper frets.

Flaps Dual Nut Unit

The Flaps adjustable nut makes playing at the lowest frets just as rewarding as higher up on the instrument. Changing your tuning or gauges is also no problem. Your new setup is easily done, without removing strings or nut.

3-D Adjustable Bridge

Accommodates any tuning or string gauges. More securely anchors strings than conventional guitar and bass bridge design.

Bamboo Laminates

We offer bamboo laminates as an option for most of our instruments, and also for the neck on the NS/Stick.  Bamboo is lightweight and very rigid.

Ergonomic Design and Adjustability

The Stick is designed to give the player’s hands access to the whole board. Flexible positioning with our belt hook and strap fits any body type.

Timeline of Stick Advancements
