10-string guitar scale tapping instrument in hardwoods or bamboo

Alto

Toshiaki Kanamaru of Japan

Based on our 10-string Stick design, this 26.5-inch scale 22-fret tapping instrument moves the bass range up into guitar territory, and gives the player easy access to high melody in the violin register.

The Alto Stick features the same hardware, wood and inlay options as our other Stick models, including the Flaps™ dual nut system, patented dual-action rear adjustable truss rod and fully intonatable and adjustable bridge. All of our active and passive pickup options are also available.

Any tuning combination is possible with two combinations related to our Stick tunings: (1) Alto tuning, which is an octave higher than Matched Reciprocal on the bass side and a 4th higher on the melody side, and (2) Extended Alto, which is one octave higher than the Baritone Melody tuning on each side.

Perfect for anyone who wants to expand their Stick pallet into the higher registers, or for small-handed and younger players who want to get started in two-handed tapping.

Your basic order should include the instrument, a flight case or soft case, a stereo cable and an instruction book.

For more information about Greg Howard's, Steve Adelson's Bob Culbertson's, and Emmett Chapman's books and DVDs see instructional materials.
